Booking Information
Here is a summary of important information about booking your self catering holiday, together with other useful information to help you enjoy your stay in Devon. Our full booking conditions will be provided when you are ready to book.
  • Cottages at Higher Watchcombe Farm are offered on a weekly basis from Saturday at 4.00 pm until Saturday at 10.00 am. Please leave promptly as this will give us sufficient time to prepare the cottage for our next visitors.
  • Flexibility in start days and times may be offered out of season or for short breaks.
  • We provide bed linen (pillow cases, duvet covers and bottom sheets), one bath towel and one hand towel for each adult and one bath towel for each child. Tea towels, oven gloves, dishwasher tablets, washing-up-liquid, bath mats and an initial supply of toilet rolls and bathroom soaps are supplied. Our beds all have hypo-allergenic mattress covers (waterproof on single beds). Visitors staying longer than one week will be provided with clean linen on a weekly basis.
  • A cot (with fitted bottom sheet), high chair and stair-gate are available on request free of charge.
  • Electricity and central heating are included in the price (storage heaters in Meg's Roost).
  • Z beds (3 ft) with linen can be provided at a cost of £30.00 per week.
  • All of our cottages are non-smoking.
  • We regret that we are unable to accept pets.
  • A non-refundable deposit of 20% is required to confirm the cottage booking. The balance is due 30 days before arrival. Please make cheques payable to 'Mr & Mrs P Galloway'. If the holiday is booked within 30 days of arrival, the full amount is payable immediately on completion of the booking.
  • If you have to cancel your holiday, we will make every effort to re-let the property and refund your payment. If we are unable to re-let, we may ask you to pay the balance. We recommend that you have appropriate cancellation protection insurance. We can provide details of suitable cover on request.
  • We cannot accept liability for any loss or damage to personal property or for accidents or injuries to our guests or their visitors whilst on the premises or within the grounds of Higher Watchcombe Farm. Children playing in the play area should be supervised by an adult.
  • In the event of damage to any of our property or contents, we reserve the right to impose a reasonable reinstatement charge. Please let us know of any accidents or breakages so we can attend to them at the earliest opportunity.
  • Unless we have previously consented to an exception, the number of people staying in the property must not exceed the sleeping capacity stated in the property description or the number of guests specified in the booking form. If you have family or friends visiting you at Higher Watchcombe Farm, please let us know (this is purely a safety consideration).
